HON. SULE TEKILE RESIGNS AS CHAIRMAN OF KIRI DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION TO PURSUE POLITICAL AMBITION

Adamawa State is fortunate to have a crop of visionary and dedicated leaders in recent years. Good leadership is not a result of wishful thinking; it depends on the commitment and contribution of individuals who translate vision into action. No matter how determined a governor may be, if he does not have hardworking and loyal subordinates, his dreams will remain unfulfilled.

The appointment of Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar as the Commissioner for Works and Energy has greatly contributed to the progress and development Adamawa State is witnessing today. His competence, loyalty, and dedication have strengthened the achievements of this administration.

Let us consider the recent national recognition bestowed upon His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was awarded Best Governor in Infrastructure and Urban Renewal. It is undeniable that this honour was achieved through the collective effort of dedicated team members. As earlier stated, a leader can only succeed when he has committed and trustworthy subordinates. I have no doubt that this award reflects the outstanding performance of Hon. Adamu Atiku.

There are 36 governors in Nigeria—many older than Governor Fintiri, some are PhD holders, and some are professors—yet Governor Fintiri emerged the best. This clearly highlights the impact of an active and result-oriented cabinet, particularly the Commissioner for Works and Energy, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, Sardaunan Ganye. The entire award is a testament to the accomplishments executed through his ministry.

All the flyovers, newly constructed roads, and other visible infrastructure projects that contributed to this honour are the handiwork of the Hon. Commissioner and his unwavering commitment to fulfilling the governor’s vision. In my view, Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar is equally a celebrant of this award, as his hard work has made it possible.

With these facts before us, I earnestly call on the good people of Adamawa State to consider Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar as the rightful successor to His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri come 2027.
