It is both surprising and disappointing to hear the rumours being circulated by certain individuals in the Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency. These claims—that Governor Fintiri purchased a House of Representatives nomination form for a particular aspirant—are completely false and misleading.
Such allegations reflect a troubling disregard for truth and responsibility. It is especially concerning when individuals who should know better choose to spread unverified information, possibly to satisfy political interests or loyalties. This kind of behaviour undermines the integrity of public discourse and misleads the general public.
One would expect that educated individuals, particularly university graduates, would exercise critical thinking and avoid promoting baseless accusations. Unfortunately, this situation suggests otherwise. It is disheartening to see respected voices lend credibility to claims that lack evidence and substance.
If such statements were coming solely from uninformed quarters, they might be easier to dismiss. However, when they are echoed by those regarded as knowledgeable, the impact becomes more damaging and difficult to ignore.
In conclusion, I urge everyone to verify information before sharing it and to uphold the values of truth and accountability in political discussions. While I regret the strong tone of this response, it is necessary to address the seriousness of the misinformation being spread.
