Kiri, 18/10/2025 — In a heartfelt show of gratitude, the Malama Jummai Kiri Islamiyya School today paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Sule Ginawula Tekile, popularly known as the Garkuwan Kiri and the Living Baraden Shelleng. During the visit, the school presented him with an award for Inclusive Leadership.

This honor comes in recognition of Hon. Tekile’s recent act of generosity — roofing the Islamiyya school building, a project that had long been abandoned by many, including prominent figures from the same religious background. Despite not being directly affiliated with the group, Hon. Tekile chose to complete the project out of sheer goodwill and commitment to education.

True to his reputation for keeping promises, Hon. Tekile completed the roofing work in just a few days, transforming the school into a more conducive environment for learning.

Students and staff of the Islamiyya school came out in numbers to express their deep appreciation. The visit was filled with prayers, thanks, and words of encouragement from both sides.

In response, Hon. Tekile expressed joy at the gesture and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education and community development. He assured the school of his continued support, promising to assist in any future needs related to the school’s growth and stability.
