THE LOSS OF HON. SULE GINAWULA TEKILE IS A LOSS TO THE ENTIRE GUYUK/SHELLENG CONSTITUENCY

The party primaries have come and gone, and the general election is fast approaching. Across the Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency, eligible voters are preparing to exercise their civic responsibility by electing the candidate they believe can best represent their interests.

It is, however, unfortunate that some people have chosen to celebrate the outcome of the party primaries in which Hon. Sule Ginawula Tekile did not emerge as the party's candidate. Such celebrations, in my view, are misplaced because the absence of a leader with his experience and track record is not just a personal loss to him but a loss to the entire Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency.

Hon. Sule Ginawula Tekile has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of the people through his contributions to education, healthcare, social infrastructure, and other community development initiatives. His dedication to public service has earned him the respect and admiration of many across the constituency.

It is also important to remember that Hon. Tekile has built his political career over many years, long before several of today's aspirants became active in the political landscape. He has established himself both politically and personally. Therefore, his desire to serve is not driven by personal gain but by a commitment to improving the lives of the people.

Regarding the outcome of the primaries, many believe the process was not conducted in a manner that reflected fairness and transparency. Consequently, what happened should not be viewed as Hon. Tekile's personal failure. Rather, it is the people of Guyuk/Shelleng who stand to lose the opportunity to benefit from his experience, leadership, and vision.

It is always disappointing to see people reject or oppose individuals who have demonstrated a genuine commitment to development. This concern is particularly relevant to the people of Shelleng, who have benefited from Hon. Tekile's contributions and understand the value of purposeful representation.

After experiencing eight years that many believe fell short of expectations in terms of development, there is a genuine concern that another four years without meaningful progress could further delay the growth and transformation our constituency deserves.
Many residents continue to ask what tangible developmental projects have been attracted to the constituency by the current member representing Guyuk/Shelleng in the National Assembly. This question deserves thoughtful reflection and honest answers.

As the people of Shelleng and the entire Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency prepare for the next election, I urge everyone to reflect carefully on the kind of leadership we desire. Our decisions should be guided by competence, proven service, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the development of our people.

The future of our constituency depends on the choices we make today.
