Comrade Faisal Mohammad Abubakar: One of the Best NUT Chairmen Adamawa State Has Produced

By Adamu Hamzer Marree Talum

In my opinion, Comrade Faisal Mohammad Abubakar is one of the finest Chairmen the National Union of Teachers (NUT) has ever produced in Adamawa State. This recognition is not based on sentiment but on his remarkable contributions to education, teachers' welfare, and human development.

His leadership has been distinguished by practical initiatives that have positively impacted teachers across the state. One of his most notable achievements is his commitment to improving teachers' welfare through agricultural support programmes. By making fertilizer available to teachers at affordable prices, he has helped many engage in farming, improve food security, and supplement their income.

The fertilizer distribution programme has been implemented during both the rainy and dry farming seasons, ensuring that teachers have access to agricultural inputs throughout the year. The cost is conveniently deducted from beneficiaries' salaries in manageable installments, making the programme accessible without placing undue financial pressure on teachers.

Comrade Faisal has also demonstrated unwavering commitment to protecting the rights and interests of teachers. His advocacy for the implementation of teachers' promotions, particularly for post-primary school teachers, stands as a significant achievement. The successful implementation of these long-awaited promotions has brought relief and renewed motivation to many teachers across the state.

These accomplishments reflect his dedication, vision, and effective leadership. Under his administration, the Adamawa State NUT has witnessed initiatives that have directly improved the welfare and professional lives of teachers.

I pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless Comrade Faisal Mohammad Abubakar with good health, wisdom, and greater success. His leadership has earned the appreciation of many teachers, and I believe his contributions will be remembered for years to come.
