On Saturday, 27/12/2027, Hon. Sule Tekile, in collaboration with Ward 11—a non-governmental organization—organized a women and small-scale business empowerment programme in Kiri District of Shelleng Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
The event was attended by the representative of the Kiri District Head, the President of the Ward 11 Empowerment Body, Hon. Sule Tekile, the Vice Chairman of the Kiri District Development Association (KDDA), and other dignitaries from Kiri and its surrounding communities.
A total of sixty (60) people benefited from the programme. Out of this number, thirty (30) women received bags containing quality wrappers, while the remaining thirty (30) beneficiaries received the sum of ₦15,000 each in brown envelopes.
Hon. Ginawula Sule Tekile stated that the initiative brought to the people of Kiri is a clear indication that the common people are living in peace and harmony with their leaders, particularly himself.
Hon. Tekile expressed his gratitude to the organization for honoring him with the programme, noting that the gesture was in recognition of his positive impact and contributions to the organization and the community.
Some of the women beneficiaries were interviewed and expressed their appreciation to both the organization and Hon. Tekile. They acknowledged that Hon. Tekile has consistently supported the Kiri community with similar interventions over the years, adding that words alone are not enough to express their gratitude.
The programme was also enlivened by a Kanakuru traditional dance, with the dancers receiving support from Hon. Sule Tekile.
