If politics is about standing for the people, carrying them along, and remaining committed to their welfare, then I have yet to see a political figure who can be compared to Hon. Sule Ginawula Tekile in the Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency.
This is because of what he stands for, what he does, and, most importantly, how he does it.
Hon. Tekile represents a fortune to the people of Guyuk and Shelleng through the services he renders to humanity, irrespective of people's social, political, economic, religious, or cultural backgrounds. He has consistently distinguished himself as a leader who is always present whenever the people are faced with challenges or situations requiring urgent attention.
Even after the outcome of the primary elections, Hon. Tekile did not cease to identify with and support the good people of Guyuk and Shelleng Local Government Areas. Whenever misfortune befalls any member of the constituency, he reaches out, offers support, and makes meaningful contributions toward alleviating their difficulties. This spirit of service did not begin with his interest in politics; it has been part of his character for many years.
The people have continued to benefit from his selfless commitment to their welfare. His medical outreaches, which have covered communities across the entire constituency, have earned him tremendous respect and recognition. More importantly, these interventions were not a recent development but part of a vision he articulated more than fifteen years ago.
His medical interventions have been carried out without discrimination, reaching people regardless of their socio-cultural backgrounds or political affiliations. This is a clear demonstration that, to Hon. Tekile, humanity comes before politics.
His contributions to peace and security within the constituency, among numerous other interventions, are equally worthy of commendation. His commitment to improving the lives of ordinary people is difficult to quantify, as it extends across various areas, including educational sponsorship, economic empowerment, and individual development.
His determination to create employment opportunities for people across the constituency remains remarkable. He has also demonstrated a strong commitment to the welfare of civil servants, particularly by advocating for their promotions and following up on the implementation of promotions already earned.
These efforts speak volumes about his understanding of leadership. He does not merely make promises; he identifies with the people, listens to their concerns, and takes practical steps to address them.
In Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency, Hon. Sule Ginawula Tekile has distinguished himself through his direct connection with the masses and his consistent commitment to their welfare. His record of service, compassion, accessibility, and selflessness places him in a class of his own.
For these reasons, it is difficult to identify any political figure in Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency whose connection with the people and record of humanitarian service can genuinely be compared with that of Hon. Sule Ginawula Tekile.
His service to humanity speaks for itself, and his impact on the people remains a testament to the kind of leadership that puts people first.
